In her 17 months Claire has had numerous favorite toys, but to date, Elmo is by far her most passionate crush. You can witness some of this passion in the clip below. Casey checked out Elmo in Grouchlandfrom the library and Claire demands to watch it at least once each day. She also has figurines of Elmo and Grover (pronounced “Ogkha”) that she plays with often.
Nice work! Claire’s funny. I think Abby loved the characters on PBS Sprout at that age (Sagwa, Noddy, Thomas, Nina…oh wait, that last one was me), and moved onto Elmo a little later (when we lost digital cable!). Now’s she’s into Mickey and the Little Einsteins. It’s a great age.
